Drying Technology of Agricultural Products

The moisture content of wet agricultural products is very high, usually 75%-85%. The skin of agricultural products is a colloidal film. Free water evaporates quickly in the drying process. The speed of transferring a large amount of internal water to the skin depends on the heating temperature of agricultural products. Therefore, the drying productivity of agricultural products mainly depends on the temperature of agricultural products and drying. The moisture removal capacity of the room ensures that the nutrient composition of the dried agricultural products is not affected and the productivity is improved.

1. Warming up and dehumidifying: heating the material at 50 ~53 ~C with 60 ~70 ~C hot air, discharging the moisture after 5 hours, and reducing the moisture content of agricultural products from 75%-85% to 50%.

2. Sweating by stepping on piles: The main function of sweating by stepping on piles is conditioning, making the oil of agricultural products permeate to the surface, the color of the dried agricultural products is uniform, ruddy and smooth, and the moisture content of agricultural products tends to be balanced. It is an important step in the drying process of agricultural products. Whether to adopt this step or not will affect the quality and drying time of agricultural products. The amount of drying has a great influence. There are obvious softening and expansion phenomena in the drying process of agricultural products. Without sweating by trampling, drying 1000 kg of agricultural products, hot air temperature 40 C~60 C, takes 63 hours, and sweating by trampling can be reduced to about 40 hours, and the cost is significantly reduced.

3. Static drying: After sweating on the stack, agricultural products are baked by hot air at 40 60 and the moisture content of finished products is controlled at 12%. During this period, it is not appropriate to overturn, otherwise the breakage rate of agricultural products will be increased.

Due to the different quality and maturity of agricultural products, some agricultural products that cannot be dried in the first drying operation should be selected and re dried.
